top 7 reasons to have a small wedding

Confession: I love that the pandemic inspired smaller events. They were stress-free and intimate. I watched the stress melt from couples during wedding planning. They were able to allocate funds to decor elements that were important to them, save money, and skip letting anyone down that didn’t get a plus one.

There are several reasons to host a small and intimate wedding, but I’ve listed the top seven benefits that make it more desirable!

Here are the top 7 benefits of having a small wedding below!

1. Less is More

One of the best things about having a small wedding is that it can be more intimate and personal. With fewer guests, you can spend more time talking and getting to know each other. Plus, small weddings tend to be more budget-friendly.

You can save money on everything from the venue to the food. And, since there are fewer guests, you can splurge on higher-quality items. Small weddings also tend to be less stressful.

2. Less Stress, Less Fuss

When you have a smaller guest list, there are fewer people to keep track of and please. This can help reduce stress levels for both you and your partner. In addition, there are usually fewer logistics to manage with a smaller wedding.

For example, you may need a smaller venue, which can save on costs. You may also find that it is easier to stay within budget as well. There will be less time spent on planning too since the number of tasks is reduced. You'll also likely get more attention from the people around you because they will feel closer to you.

3. A Sense of Adventure

When you have a small wedding, you can be more adventurous with your location. Want to get married in a hot air balloon? How about on top of a mountain? You can also be more adventurous with your menu, choosing unique and interesting dishes that will delight your guests. And don't forget the wedding cake! A small wedding gives you the opportunity to really go all out and have an over-the-top confection that will be the talk of the town.

5. More Intimate Memories

When you have a small wedding, it’s easier to remember all the little details and moments that made your day special. You’ll be able to look back on your wedding day and recall all the people who were there, what they said, what you said, and how you felt. It's easy to get lost in the shuffle when planning a large event with many family members and friends.

It's also more likely that you'll forget something or not enjoy yourself as much if it feels like a chore. A smaller affair is often cozier, more intimate, and less stressful for everyone involved. With fewer people invited to your wedding, you can focus on making them feel special rather than feeling obligated to invite too many relatives and co-workers just because they're in town.

6. More opportunity your guests and family involved!

When you have a small wedding, you can involve your guests more in the wedding planning process and on the actual wedding day. This can make them feel more connected to you and the event. Plus, they can be more helpful and less likely to get in the way when things need to get done.

7. Easier to Plan

When you have a smaller guest list, it's much easier to plan every aspect of your wedding. You can easily manage who you want to invite, where you want to have the ceremony and reception, what kind of food and drink you want to serve, and so on. And since there are fewer people to please, it's also easier to make decisions that reflect your own taste and style. You don't need to buy as many gifts for your guests or spend time worrying about accommodating everyone's dietary restrictions. Plus, you'll save money by not having to rent out a venue large enough for hundreds of guests!
